Alex was great at putting the loan together. Manuel I guess was new and under supervised. His information requests were out of sequence. He asked for documents on the closing day that should have been requested a month earlier. The worst part of the experience was the lack of communication with Alex. For four days I called and emailed requesting an update. during that time I only heard from Alex once.

I have only had two transactions with you guys, and both were super stressful, last minute scrambling to get documents before closing. It's chaotic and stressful.

I started the process in June of 2019. It seemed to be moving along before August we had the appraisal and all paperwork in that was asked for and then in August it stalled. The seller and I both asked questions but nothing happened for a while. Next, Melvin Williams let me know that he would now be handling the loan.We had to pay for a second appraisal because it took so long and we sent a lot of the same paperwork multiple times. It was frustrating.

It wasn't that bad. It just seemed to be more involved and more paperwork than some of the others. Part of that was the deal. It got more involved than some and I was helping an elderly couple that needed more help than most. It's amazing that we got it all to come together. I would rather work with local people that some one out of state. I would recommend Mark if there was someone who needed a second opinion or could not get financed locally. Thanks, Dan

They were still asking for documentation the day before closing. I didn't know if we were clear to close until 4 minutes before closing because of a box that wasn't checked during appraisal, the mistake made it through underwriting and was caught the day before closing - I get that mistakes happen but if you are going to be a nation-wide company, have nation-wide hours, day of closing they were MIA until 9 PST!!! My clients were first time buyers who never want to do this again because of NewAm.

No schedule of when paperwork was needed, they wanted it right now when they asked with no heads up. My fiancé and I work full time second/third shift jobs and it’s hard to get things with our schedules. A few days notice would have been better for needed things.
