It was the holidays, but we would call and never get a call back or a within a reasonable response time. I was pretty disappointing especially when we had questions. I will not recommend Bill.

The number (cash to close) we were given to bring to closing was wrong. We signed all paperwork during our closing appt and left the title company and didn’t hear about the issue until 7pm that night. We had to then come up with the additional funds, get a cashiers check the next morning, and deliver it to the title company. This was very stressful and very challenging given that my husband and I both work full time. We then had to go thru and sign amendments to documents we had originally signed the day before. Our agent was then letting us know signing was time sensitive and the lender had the nerve to call our agent indicating they were worried about getting the paperwork signed ASAP in order to close before end of day. If they had done their job correctly the first time none of this would’ve been an issue.

My wife and I felt like we were providing double information to the team. We also thought there was a lack of communication with us. This is our second time using new American funding and by far a more complicated process. Also at close we were suppose to bring a document that no one had told us to bring.

Like many business transactions the introductory stage was pleasant; communication was clear, information was plentiful and pleasantries were often exchanged. Once funding was approved those initial characteristics mildly diminished; lack of communication during a very integral stage of the loan process occurred, which left me uninformed and subject to additional fees. Closing during the holiday season is not advisable, it created a lax environment, which is counterproductive when hundreds of thousands of dollars are at the center of the business transaction. I received a lot of “I’ll have to ask my manager” with no follow up until from said manager until I was literally at the closing table signing documents. I doubt my inquiry ever made it the managers desk, quite confident the decision was independently made by my loan officer. Without the break in communication and the eleventh hour feedback my loan process could have gone about without a hitch.

Only spoke with Jonathan once. Our loan officer was changed three times which resulted in us having to send in documents twice because at some point, i suppose, things didn’t transfer from one loan officer to the next, which was frustrating. Other than that the process was ok.
