In a world where great service is expected, Loan Officers need to be true consultants, not order takers. Anyone can take in-bound calls and write up an order for whatever the customer wants. But a true consultant will know their business better than anyone, and be able to make recommendations to not only best suit the client, but put them in a better financial situation after the loan closes.

I started the loan process in June and it didn’t close until Aug 7th. I had two friends start the same time and were done within two weeks. The process was way too long and I had to keep asking where we were in the process. I think if something was holding up the process that should be communicated. Other than that, it turned out okay

I was teased with the option to pay for points at Closing to drop 0.25%. I reviewed the final documents and was told this was no longer an option which was very disappointing. Bait and Switch. The Lender-Selected Appraiser messed up the Appraisal and tried to delay Closing which was not practical. I indicated as such to the NAF because seller was moving 2,000 miles on the Closing date, but NAF went behind my back and told Title Company that Closing was being delayed. Totally unprofessional.

Blake is great and a pleasure to work with. The process just took longer than expected and clear and frequent communication would've made it a little smoother.

Our refinance took a really long time. We started in April and didn't finish until July. We've had a few friends that started the process after us and were done well before, averaging less than 30 days. We had to prompt for updates throughout the process and while we were responded to promptly and courteously, we felt like we always had to initiate updates. When we were emailed it would be after weeks and we would emergently need to sign something.

We didn’t deal with Lynn to refi our home, and the staff we did work with was incompetent and could never tell us the right information. New America with Lynn was a dream to work with the first time around. But the individuals who have been working for this company really wanted me to go somewhere else to refi our home
