My clients were happy with the hard work that went into getting this loan approved. I just wish communication had been more open and more timely. I had a client on the edge of their seat for weeks!! I’m the end it was fine, but I think communicating with all of us throughout the process would have made it less stressful. No complaints. Just a tip.

Marc was mostly responsive & helpful, but overall I felt my small account was treated with unimportance if not disdain, despite my being easy & pleasant to work with. I was confused by the long gaps between steps, since the process wasn't pre-explained). My loan specialist (not Marc) seemed inept (not knowing the applicable laws for my state, asking me to commit to the loan before a loan estimate, being dismissive of my legitimate concerns or just not responding. I wouldn't use New Am. again.

I know the team was working hard on getting this loan done for our home purchase and that I would give excellent rating. The part that I rated low was communication. As a first time home buyer I would like to be more informed as the process was nearing the end. Also I would prefer to be told something is going to take longer and not, "Oh any time now, should be an hour or so, somtime this morning" I would rather be told " things won't be done until later today" the truth is always best.

Everything was done by email- I’m 68 years old and not very tech savvy, would have preferred more could have been handled with phone calls - thankfully, a few of the folks I work with are younger and helped me with the emails , esigs etc

Everything was actually very good until we got to closing time. Our close was delayed several times because of someone on New American Funding's end. First it was an appraisal document that wasn't obtained, then an incorrect loan payoff. It was very frustrating.

James was very attentive in the beginning of the loan process. Once we were moving forward with a home I was transferred to a number of other reps without intro. The first loan document sent out was listed incorrectly at a higher home cost which made myself and real estate agent uncomfortable. I was told to just sign but then after the agent reached out I was told it would be updated, it wasn't. Then my name was continuously spelled wrong via email, which did not make me feel taken care of.
