Reached out to Sebonic after getting a very low quote through Zillow. Michael reached out right away, gathered some additional info and got us a quote. My wife and I decided to move forward.At this point, we got turned over to one of Michael’s assistance and this is where it got sloppy. My wife and I have probably done 20 mortgages/refi’s over the years, so we kind of know what we’re doing. The assistant would set up an appointment with us and then blow us off. Only to follow up with an info request, where a meeting was completely unnecessary. If we had a question, we wouldn’t get a response, so we’d reach out to Michael. The morning of the close, we received 5 different sets of closing docs, because the numbers were wrong on each of them. Also, we couldn’t get the real name of Sebonic, for the cashier’s check. Our closing notary, received the final docs about an hour before our scheduled appointment, so that was delayed also. In the end, it all got done, but this would have been pretty stressful for an inexperienced borrower. For us, it was just annoying. Low rate/cost and the Octane too, made paperwork a lot easier. I’d use them again, but would be prepared for potential problems.

I'm a first time home buyer, so this maybe just how the mortgage process is. Dave was professional but the Loan Estimate was a total mess up, the actual amount I had to bring to closing date was over $1700 more than the Loan Estimate. The rates were going down during the time I was in the market, I got locked on a rate and was never told if I could go lower, or if that was an option. Generally, communication was confusing, 3 separate people from the bank emailing me, unresponsive to my (mostly dumb) questions as I was new to this.Overall, job gets done in time and without issues, but I didn't know exact closing costs till the last 2 days.

Chad took care of me for the loan definitely because it is done, but communication was definitely less then par to where my loan was push to the breaking point for needing to be extended at the last minute which created tension between me and the banker who funded my construction loan then I was told basically it was on me to push Chad to complete it. Chad got it extended with no fees as far as I know then the closing had the same situation as the construction loan due to no communication or plan then appraisal came back less then the initial appraisal with a new slab and new house which messed up my amounts and interest rate verses what I was emailed. A lot of confusion there! With the closing pushed to the end of its time appraiser requested more work to be done in less then the four days before closing or I was told I won't get the loan. So thank Goodness I had time off to complete that, but Chad had a plan in place to try and help me so that was cool of him. Kudos to him, but I got everything done. I would have shopped around different lenders but being my time was run down to the wire I couldn't so here we are a customer of yours due to constraints out of my control. Chad made it happen though regardless of the other issues he was very helpful in other ways from the beginning up to about midpoint. I feel personally that Chad truly did try to come through with what he told me but due to circumstances that were out of his control ie(Appraisal)that dismissed what he had planned. Now if it wasnt for the timing or lack of timing i might have been able to have other companies look over the appraisal and i probably would have switched companies but like i said it worked out just not in my favor other then getting a loan and a new house which I truly regret doing just in general so it is what it is and is complete. Thank you

The communication was not what I am use to when working with a lender. I was not kept in the loop and had to inform our clients that closing was delayed.

The odds were against me..the bank wanted all cash buyer...people in the industry told dusty in wouldn't close...well..I believe he showed up and showed out!...thanks dusty and your team...the hard work is behind us????
