Getting more prompt responses would have helped getting a better rating. I felt like I had to reach out multiple times to get answers on things or status. Also when I was submitting finally paperwork and was asked for statements of assets that I had this is unexpectable. as assets are do not have monthly statements.

We were pre approved for 450k, but bought a house at 240k, and getting that done was a lot of hassle. Somehow NAF tried charging a few thousand dollars to "buy points" to get it to go through, which didn't need to happen. It seems like my credit was soft pulled to pre approve, and the hard pull changed the ability to actually be approved. I actually have 800ish score. NAF also didn't consider some of the earnings on my paystubs as income. I really wonder how let down we would have been if we'd have gone for the $410k house we were considering instead of the house we actually went with if there was THAT much drama getting 240k approved..... Scott was great to deal with. But it put a gray cloud over the whole deal when it became so difficult to get approved, and our cash to close DOUBLED from what we were originally told it would be.

Reached out to Sebonic after getting a very low quote through Zillow. Michael reached out right away, gathered some additional info and got us a quote. My wife and I decided to move forward. At this point, we got turned over to one of Michael’s assistance and this is where it got sloppy. My wife and I have probably done 20 mortgages/refi’s over the years, so we kind of know what we’re doing. The assistant would set up an appointment with us and then blow us off. Only to follow up with an info request, where a meeting was completely unnecessary. If we had a question, we wouldn’t get a response, so we’d reach out to Michael. The morning of the close, we received 5 different sets of closing docs, because the numbers were wrong on each of them. Also, we couldn’t get the real name of Sebonic, for the cashier’s check. Our closing notary, received the final docs about an hour before our scheduled appointment, so that was delayed also. In the end, it all got done, but this would have been pretty stressful for an inexperienced borrower. For us, it was just annoying. Low rate/cost and the Octane too, made paperwork a lot easier. I’d use them again, but would be prepared for potential problems.

very responsive to my emails. process took 2-3 months, which is longer than I expected. The last 2-3 days was hectic with multiple last minute changes, information requests, and 2 notary visits

The last minutes changes that caused the closing date delayed and cost us more money and time.
