There were a number of communications between an insurance company, the title company, and New American Funding I wish had been done with more tact and applomb. It made the situation very tense and luckily, I leaned on the real estate agent to help me calm everyone down and get things sorted out. When I was asked "what should happen now?" I was baffled. I will buy 2 houses in my life but New American writes loans daily. I think customers really want to rely on you to give them advice and keep everything calm and moving smoothly but that didn't happen here.

Communication with our loan officer directly was lacking during sometimes during the document gathering process but overall the staff was helpful and it was great to get the deal closed.

Everyone be on the same page and , A little more understanding of job situations per customers and spouses. It was hard to just be getting random emails from people needing information and not know why they didn't get copies from the previous person.

It would’ve been helpful to have a ‘big picture’ overview in layman’s terms at the start of the process. I felt like I was trying to read and understand a foreign language. Also toward the end we received urgent requests that we couldn’t respond to right away. One person would request and 10 minutes later Robin sent the same request. We knew they were urgent. We didn’t need the reiterations of their urgency. That actually made the whole process more frustrating than it already was

Communication early was regular and professional. Later it seemed the NAF team were not communicating well. We were on a tight time-line and we had a few requests for information we had already given. Though our loan closed in approximately 30 days, it was down to the wire on our rate lock date. We are not loan officers, but it appeared some slow progress was charged at the underwriter. Not the worst experience, but also not thebest.

The terms we discussed were not met and the messaging was such that they were possible. The funds and the number of payments skipped were not honored.

Calls to inform the progress of our loan. Not explaining the process of credit rating causing a $1600 charge to our closing costs and not returning a call pertaining to that charge.
