Crossing time zones is a bit of a challenge. Especially when we need a response and the day is half over by the time we get a response. We understand it isn't a personnel issue. It's a time zone issue.

Everything was going very well initially, there was great communication and assistance with everything. The first agent I was using left our service and we were given Nolan to finish the remainder of the process. Nolan did well with taking care of the necessary steps for the deal to go through, but did not do so well with communication at some points. Also my realtor was trying to communicate with him on several occasions and she was unable to get any response back from him. One other difficulty was how hard it seemed to be to get everything together for the underwriting department. I don't think I have ever had such a complicated time with any other lender I've used for home related matters.

I understand the optempo during these challenging times, However, timely customer service (communication) is paramount to make a customer feel comfortable making a big purchase like this.

Carlos was overall great. There were two things I think he could do to significantly improve his customer service experience. First, he could be more responsive. The time between us reaching out and him getting back to us was too long. Second, and much more importantly, I wish that Carlos had regularly sent out updates, especially nearing close. It felt like our loan wouldn't have closed if we hadn't reached out repeatedly to ask what was going on and how to move it forward.

Asked for a 20 year mortgage but got a 30 year. Was rarely able to reach Abel. Availability was marginal. Did not see final settlement document until we closed; therefore we were anxious not knowing if we would have enough money. Not sure that the interest rate was best available.
