Review by Janine Davis for Michelle Thula

Completed transaction on November 12, 2025

Michelle was great in communicating the process of my refi after I endured quite a few hiccups in my initial stages with another loan officer. She was able to get me to closing in two weeks time! However, I am a bit disappointed that I have gotten no response from her post-closing regarding a few other concerns.

Review by Colleen Ferguson for New Palermo

Completed transaction on May 15, 2024

Communication amongst the team was weak. I felt like there was no communication at all. I had a unique situation and although it worked out in the end, it was stressful explaining the details, repeatedly. Sometimes i couldn’t get in touch with team members and I didn’t know who exactly to reach out to.

I was not always included on important messages and was not informed that my original statement date was changed until the night before.

Review by Sandra Marie LaRose for Matthew Hoffman

Matthew is terrific in the beginning. As I was closing he was not listening to my questions and was hurrying me and my notary but overall I did appreciate him returning calls

Review by JoHelen Williams for Jeff Schenk

Completed transaction on March 8, 2026

Jeff was good. However, the closing process was daunting and the client said the communication for that part was not good. I have to agree. I got a bunch of excuses and very little effective communication. I have found that once it goes to underwriting and closing it is not smooth. This is very important to clients who are nervous anyway.

Review by ERIC GRAHAM for Sharlene Ruiz

Completed transaction on February 28, 2026

Sharlene was very knowledgeable and presented a strong team-oriented approach from the beginning of the transaction, which I genuinely appreciated. She initially approved the buyer for a 3% down conventional loan, and based on that approval the offer was submitted and accepted. After acceptance, the buyer was later required to increase the down payment. I learned of this change from the buyer rather than directly from the lender. This caused a delay in ordering the appraisal, which put the buyer in breach of the Residential Purchase Agreement, and I was not notified of that delay either. Updates on under writing were limited. Updates on docs being ordered came from my buyers first. Im sure loan was more challenging than was communicated to me which I can appreciate. Overall, Sharlene was knowledgeable and capable, and the transaction did successfully close. Improved communication and proactive updates would make the experience even stronger in future transactions.

Review by Latasha Nicole Little for LaMonica McDuffie

Completed transaction on February 24, 2026

It's probably not your fault. I was under a lot of stress during this time and I probably needed support outside of what would be considered normal. I just think about my first experience working with LaMonica and it seemed more helpful and supportive. But again the disconnect could be the amount of stress and pressure I was under.
