Would like to know very critical info about PMI before closing date. Amortization schedule displayed PMI for entire life of loan! We would have done without PMI if given full disclosure.

although overall the process was OK, I felt that in comparison with our initial mortgage process, I had to ask multiple times and wait multiple days for a response. I assume that is due to the numerous refinances happening due to the low interest rates.

Borrowers need to know exactly what documents are needed to provide for underwriting. I was gathering equity funds from all over and knowing what is expected to be delivered for underwriting would have been ideal. I would suggest going over a checklist in advance so everyone is on the same page.
