She has an assistant which I understand it is needed but there should always be communication between her and her assistant and the client. Certain situations where her assistant had information and she would ask me multiple times for the same information, personal information should not be taken lightly. She would not respond in some cases which is understandable but her assistant would not know the answer to my question. Buying a house is a big deal and all surfaces should be covered.

You don't have a "very good" option, so "great" will have to do. :) What would have made it GREAT is more daily communication. Refinancing is stressful on its own, but to go almost a week with no updates was excruciating. Daily updates should be required! Other than that, it really was a very good experience, and I would recommend Michael and his associates!

Almost everything was intuitive and smooth, until the end of the very time-consuming process of securing the FHA funding. Towards the end, we were asked multiple times in quick succession to verify employment, to the point of being excessive. Also, asking us for the redundant verification to the relative that was helping us through this deal financially was an unneeded stress. Having said that, we are happy to finally be funded.

I needed a bit more explanation of where we were in the process and what was expected of us next. We found most correspondence from the escrow company to be full of jargon that we didn't understand how to make actionable, and we would've appreciated a little more hand-holding during that part.

I got the feeling that Kate needs more experience. She is a very nice person but I needed a little stronger person managing my loan. No serious issues were encountered but I had to get directly involved at times to ensure things got done.
