The officer's don't know what to espect from day to day. one minute it's "we are all good" to we have all this new stuff we have to deal with! You're contracted engineering firm in texas is a joke. 600 dollar's for a inaccurate assessment. U should recomend firm's that have experience with the area and the home's involved. The people i interacted with were nice and helpful to the exstent they could be. not a bad exsperience.

It was often difficult to get in touch with Daniel—we felt like we had to track him down just to receive an update. At one point, we began moving forward with Movement Mortgage, and the difference in communication compared to New American was night and day. To put it plainly, Daniel tended to over-explain and talk in circles, which made it hard to get clear answers. When it came to discussing a potential rate buy-down, it felt like pulling teeth to get a straightforward response. We ended up staying with NAF because movement had trouble witj verifyof employmen. But the progress we achieved with movement, which was one week took 2.5 months to acheive with NAF. Claudia aas straightforward and worked quickly. It really was the saving grace for us.

Both Karim and Shayla lacked communication which was frustrating at times.

The closing took a long time with many delays however we eventually closed. However communication could have been better and more accurate information could've been provided. Overall I think it was fine however they quoted closing costs and cash to close on the low end instead of quoting the possible higher costs followed by coming down to the actual numbers. It was easy to contact the company however the organization of documents, files, and overall accuracy of relayed information could be better. If i wasn't on better terms with the seller she would've backed out due to the long wait to close coupled with inaccurate closing date estimations and extensions. But hey I'm a homeower now.

Better communication between everyone, I was on a tight schedule traveling back to town and had stated this but still at the last minute we had to readjust things that could have been taken care of ahead of time

My experience was not the worse because I was familiar with the process. For someone new to the process, I don't think the communication was adequate. With one of the biggest purchases one will make, over communication is not a bad thing. I understand, Tonya has a catastrophic event take place during my process and maybe that impacted our communication, but I felt very alone in the process. It wasn't the most pleasurable experience but I got what I wanted in the end, which was a home.

M. I would've been happier if New American funding did what they said they would do. we were told that if we made six. consecutive on time payments our payment would be pretty much automatically lowered. This did not occur. First of all we made seven or eight payments before any of this happen. Second, our payment barely went down like $250 which is measly. Third we still had to pay $6000 to close the new loan. and forth we did not get to skip a month payment like what happens with normal refinances. Yes the deal ultimately got done, but maybe it's worth exploring some other options at this point. But we will see what happens. Clearly this makes six payments and have your payment lowered is a bait and switch tactic.

Garrett was extremely pushy in the beginning trying to make me choose him on phone calls without allowing me to fully process all of the information given. I informed him I wouldn't make a decision until a cost sheet was provided, which after multiple requests he did provide. After we chose NAF for our loan, he was harder to get in touch with. But once we got everything squared way it was fine. Garrett did a good job on executing the loan, just maybe don't be so aggressive with people in the future so he doesn't bully them into a decision. There's a line between salesman and pushy.
