I think it had to do with the MN first time home buyer assistance program. Brian was great at communication early. But my situation was unique and things were not kept track of at the end. So, I didn't close on time. I am thankful that Brian worked it out in a different way later.

Everything was great until the final week before closing. We had to press the team for closing disclosures, we had to keep asking for the documents to be sent to Title/escrow. Funding of our loan was down to the final 40 minutes before we would be in a new month. The end was a battle, but if it wasn’t for the team we might not have even received the loan. We were not perfect buyers and this team made it happen which we are very thankful for.

The refinance industry is insanely busy and I understand we weren’t the only customers. However, it was a mad dash at the end with late emails requesting documents that I feel could have been asked for at the earlier in the process. Having said that we were still able to close in a relatively short amount of time and the staff at New American were helpful during the process.
