The whole thing felt very impersonal. We never met in person neither her or the other lady that texted me. For most of the deal, I was the one who kept in touch, since they had all my private information and I really didn't know who I was dealing with. The visit to the notary became a two trip deal for me because she forgot one signature and then blamed it on me. I distracted her. Two separate trips for my son since I was never told he and his wife needed to be there the first time.

As a first time home buyer the process was over whelming. An explanation for updated documents required would have more helpful when first requested.

Sheldon was great. But the lender he works for did a very poor job of keeping the closing on track. And the lender has an appraisal process that is suspect, without a clear appeal process. It cost us thousands extra.

Would appreciate a bit more communication in person. I realize the electronic portals are great for document exchange but setting customer expectations and not just blasting out emails can go a long way to easy confusion and frustration. Also, I found the number of letters requested for items such as my planned use of the property and other properties a bit insulting. If the customer clearly has the financial means to pay the loan, there ought to be a way to streamline the process.
