Unfortunately, the approval process took nearly two and a half months - after having already completed the pre-approval process. Some of this time is attributable to the appraiser but, since the appraiser was selected by New American, the appraiser's mistakes and delays are their responsibility as well.

Ricky did a great job at keeping me informed and answered questions that I had. The mortgage process got kind of crazy towards the closing with waiting for the underwriting to approve everything but we got through it.
