Overall a good experience. This was my first refinance and I had a lot of questions that I asked, but never got a clear answer on. Mostly questions about timelines and where we were in the process. It ended up taking 47 days from start to close, which is normal, I guess, but we never knew the whole time how long to expect. This was probably my only complaint.

I started the refinance on 9/1/20 and signed closing paperwork on 12/21/20. I know 2020 has been a crazy year and the very low interest rates meant extraordinarily high numbers of people trying to refinance their homes. However, this process took almost 4 months. At one point, I was questioned on ownership in a property that went to my ex husband in our 2006 divorce and through which I had been removed from all documentation during his 2010 refinance. (2010!!)

Kirsten was great. The underwriting experience was bad. Lots of mistakes on the closing forms. Underwriting asked for unnecessary documentation that had no impact on the loan decision and took far too long to do for a refi. I have done over 15 closings or refis in my life and this was by far my worst experience.
