Working with Zane was smooth and professional, although there were a few misunderstandings about my loan amount and closing costs. I wanted to pay upfront my closing costs and not increase my loan. Somewhere along the way my loan amount included the closing costs and I still had to pay additional costs at closing. That was a minor issue compared to when my loan went to processing. That's when everything turned rocky. A lack of communication and delays ensued. Initially after a long delay, I requested another processor, but I was assured my loan would take priority and it would be monitored by her supervisor. It wasn’t until I received a trail of internal NAF emails, sent by the processor, that I became aware of problems. For example, I was told the property manager of my condo was not responding to their requests. For whatever reason, they were using incorrect contact information. It wasn’t until they asked me for his email address, did he start responding. My rating is for the overall experience with NAF and not just about Zane. Zane was great to work with. I delayed in responding because I hoped to get another survey from NAF to rate the processing. That did not happen so I responded accordingly.

I guess I have been used to having only 1 point of contact throughout the process but I think I emailed and talked to 3 or 4 different people so it made it a little more confusing on who I work with. Also the communication wasn't the greatest at the end when I got an email saying I would get wire details coming up soon. I assumed that would come from New American but I never got another email or call. I was supposed to submit the wire the night before or at least 4 hours before closing. My own realtor assistant gave me the details less than 2 hours before close. For the most part it was a pretty good experience though! Thank you!

I could not get in contact with my processor for multiple days multiple times. They did not have a functioning phone number. I did not receive final approval until the morning of the day of closing.
