At first upon contacting Marti she was friendly, accomadating , and answered questions . As time went on it was difficult to get a hold of her being a trip and of course no fault of hers, she became sick and later needed to be out for surgery. Being that said the names given to take her place while out, it was difficult to get answers from or wven locate after several attemps email/phone calls and messages. I think Marti did well it was just the process of which handing over the clients to cover was not efficient in their communication. It went back fourth one time of who I was supposed to talk to.. anyways thank you for all your help and getting me the refinance needed Marti!

While the communication has improved compared to past experiences, there are still significant gaps that need to be addressed for me to feel confident referring future clients. Throughout the transaction, there was a lack of clarity regarding which items were outstanding versus completed. When I inquired whether my client had fulfilled her obligations, I received a generic, copy-and-paste list that included tasks assigned to myself, the other agent, and the buyer. My client believed she had completed most of her requirements but was not informed when the property survey was conducted and only received a copy after she specifically requested it. A week prior to closing, she followed up again and was told she still needed to complete her SC Housing education course. Had I been made aware that this was still pending, I could have ensured it was handled well in advance. Due to this oversight, final loan approval wasn’t issued until less than 24 hours before closing. The final figures weren’t provided to the client until just 45 minutes before closing. Additionally, an addendum to the closing disclosure was only discovered at the table, and neither I nor the co-op agent were given a copy of the settlement statement in advance to verify accuracy or protect our clients’ interests. These breakdowns in communication impacted the smoothness and transparency of the process.

Jimmy was wonderful. He was very prompt with any questions that I had and was highly reachable!! Kathy on the other hand seemed like she was too busy to be bothered by me. I would text her and one instance called her and I had no response for about 5 to 7 days later. I was also not informed what was going on with my loan when there was a hiccup with it. The point is that people want to be treated like human beings not like a number I felt like I was just a number when I talked to Kathy. I understand that you as a whole company are busy, but to one person, it really makes a difference if you are personable to them. In my circumstance, it was very hard for me to call and admit that I needed help and that I was having financial problems so when I called Jimmy eased my mind, but when I was done with him, Kathy made me regret calling. I just felt like I wasn’t a human being, and that I was ashamed to have called.

I understand that there were mitigating circumstances as I engaged with NAF right as Peter was heading off on vacation. I believe that the handoff during this time caused a lot of confusion and superfolous information requests.

Better communication and responding to phone calls I was new to this and had a lot of questions. They were very good at responding to emails tho. I also had to 2 different loan processors and 2 different lending agents.

Organization seemed lacking at times, we were asked for documents we already provided on numerous occasions. The overall process of construction then refinance was not totally clear to us. Aside from that, the team was extremely responsive to questions via email and phone, and were quick to answer questions and clear up confusion. In the end we only ended up making 2x interest only payments for the construction loan, and the draw process was totally transparent to us, no issues at all.
