Experience was fine until closing. Was informed of closing Amt 1 day before & certified check was required (a challenge w/packed schedule). Further,there was an update needed for insurance payments. All that’s fine since process is complicated. Problem however was with very limited customer service skills displayed by the closing attorneys’ rep. Her approach was far from can-do. Rather seemed more like take-or-leave-it. Had I not known Indy personally for years, I’d likely have canceled/postpond

The experience would have been better if communication with loan officer would more than brief texts and email. A good phone conversation will make a difference

I got the best rate with Indy. That more than compensates for all the drudgery I had to go through: 1) There were so much of a delay in processing 2) I was very prompt in responding to asks, but UW staff never responded unless I pinged 3) The appraiser had gross errors in their assessment and when challenged, they made up numbers to support their appraisal value 4) I had to submit documents multiple times because UW would take very long 5) I only got responses after I pinged several times
