The online systems were terrible. There were two actually and very awkward. After submitting docs and signing docs they vanished and were unavailable. We ended up just sending directly to the loan officer. Huge oppurtunity to streamline that. In addition be asked to supply information that was already provided multiple times to different people was not ideal. Again this should all be done through a portal that everyone has access to. I have closed with other lenders much easier. One set of bank statements vs 3 times right until the last minute. It felt as though the approval wasnt really valid.

The loan came through- we got the house - though seemed behind schedule at times. Also slightly unsure if the loan is recastable or not. We plan to re cast soon. Then i will be calling again.

Rate lock was set at 6.5% it helped but very little. It took a while to get funding to provide atg a difference between cost to close & money brought for closing. If the rate lock was set closer to what it actually was at the current time, I would not hesitate to consider fairway for refinancing or other loans. I will certainly be shopping around next time.

The underwriting or whoever kept asking for things I already sent. Due to their mistakes, it took 3 months instead of 2. That caused some major problems for me. Then the final disbursement was wrong and hasn't been corrected yet.

Recieved a cash to close estimste that Was drasticlly lower than what it was actually going to be. When I reached out to discuss the amount originally not making sense I was assured it was accurate and then instead of owning up to the mistake, I was blamed for not bringing it to their attention. Providing accurate cash to close is not on me when this company is running the numbers.
