This is our first loan, so we don't really have anything to compare the experience to. Some things were easy such as reaching Chris through email or phone calls. His team wasn't very accessible when it came to documentation. When it came documentation, we were told not to worry about it, and then when we weren't able to acquire it very well, then it became a huge issue. This isn't a downside of Chris's communication because he may have not been aware of the importance of it, however, it was a learning experience to have everything whether it was needed or not because it may become vital in the future. We are very appreciative over al for the experience.

From the beginning 2 years ago when we first started home searching, Ray Montanez was the first person we spoke with Via phone. He was very informed and communicated very well with us on what the loans entail and how the process is started etc etc. Then, we moved to IA and was given Michelle Lester referred by Ray, and she was very friendly and pleasant to work with. In the later part of the process, we met Emily Harris, who was very sound in her knowledge of everything we needed for our final steps. She helped make the process go by smoothly. From start to finish, working with ALL of them together as a team, has been a pleasurable experience for my wife and I. Thank you for your service.

There were a lot of variables that I didn’t understand. I started with a good warm and fuzzy thinking I had a pre approval and then that was then told to me after asking multiple times for the pre approval that I didn’t get it. I’ve had my last two home loans with NAF and have been in great standing with no issues for years. So is disappointing when knowing there are no minimum credit score for VA but I can’t get a loan with a company that I’ve shown for years my credit worthiness.

Most was regarding the communication on documentation and what was required. Constant asks from agents regarding close dates and items that in my mind should have been asked during the preapproval or pre qualification stage was asked 2 or 3 days before the closing date. But I was then charged for missing the original closing date.
