I provided some detailed feedback to Patrick already. While his interactions were great, I felt that some of the other team members were not as helpful, transparent, or as competent. During the process I identified numerous errors in documentation, and when I asked questions, I occasionally received incomplete or confusing responses. Having gone through the mortgage process (original and refinance) at least 6 times in my life, I would rank this time as middle of the road, at best.

Jason took over the application at the end of the process after Chris Y left for another job. At that point the loan was already delayed several months and Jason was not aware of the previous communications. Except for the delay, I'm satisfied with the rate and origination fee which was best out of five I applied to. Closing was super easy with a notary coming to our home.

Joseph is great and I appreciate everything he did to help me with my first purchase. I’d highly recommend Joseph to everyone. Thank you Joseph! What made my overall experience just okay is the realtor. The realtor, in my opinion is a seller realtor not a buyers realtor- it felt like he was a double agent. It shouldn’t have felt like I was negotiating alone. To me, that realtor doesn’t represent what Joseph and New American funding is about.
