I do not feel that you proactively helped us manage the interest rate risk. While you had initially said that we would be speaking frequently about the rates, you went silent for most of the time. We often had to initiate the conversation ourselves. While I am fully aware that it was an eventful month from an interest rate standpoint, that’s precisely why we needed regular updates from you. We ended up feeling as if you had an incentive to make us lock as close to the closing date as possible to minimize interest rate risk for NAF and minimize the risk of us switching lenders.

Overall, my entire experience was great. I would definately reccommend NAF. However, if I am being honest, I feel let down by my original loan officer Loyd. He did not listen during our multiple conversations and it seemed like he didnt take notes during those conversation. I found myself answering the same questions two and three times. For example, which credit card I wanted to pay off and what was the large student loan for. Then I felt like I had to follow up with him rather than him following up with me. He is a very personable guy and I am sure he knows what he is doing but I did not have confidence in him getting the job done. It wasn't until one of his collegues, Rayan Bergdahl, got involved (because Loyd was out sick) that I felt like things were getting done. I feel like Rayan did more of the heavy lifting and work on my loan than Loyd did. I am not sure about teh work behind the scenes but thius is how it fewlt to me. I hope that Rayan is getting some sort of commission on this deal for the work and time that she put in. I would reccommend her all day long. Rayan was a pleasure to work with. Very competent and very knowledable.
