The overall experience was OK, we closed on the loan and are excited about our new home. There were some communication confusions through emails that could be cleared up pretty easy by including why certain documents are being requested multiple times. Also, closing is typically a 45 day or more process, it would be good at the start to have a project plan/road map that lays out when a client will need to submit items and clearly indicate what the items are and what the purpose of those doucments are. At points during the process it seemed that our lead and our loan processor were not communicating internal as one was asking for certain items and then the other would ask for something different.

Everything was done in a professional, timely and complete fashion. I would have liked for more transparency and more of a sense of what to expect when. There were some things that I understand now that were completely normal that gave us a bit of panic at the time as we didn't know to expect them. This may be normal for the industry, but for someone who sells and buys a house every 20-25 year it can exacerbated an already stressful situation. All in all, I think they did a great job.
