Being very familiar with the mortgage process, we submitted a very complete credit package; therefore, there wasn’t a great deal of need for a lot of outside communication, but I do recommend when there is an item that needs clarifying or discussing further than email it’s best to phone applicants to discuss because frequently there is room for misunderstanding or miss interpreting email and trying to type out what one means can get frustrating. Ashley Johns is the absolute best. i was so nervous about all the ins and out of buying a home, she was so understanding and kind hearted.. Natasha did a great job! However, The underwriter caused great aggravation. Petty requests caused delay, which lead to costing me more money. Items , which should have been figured out well in advance of the scheduled closing were not! I had to vacate my prior home which I sold. The delay by your underwriters forced me to rent for week, which came at a premium. I can’t recommend New American for this reason.
