They had a great rate and were fast, especially with a VA loan, which, in my experience, is often laboriously slow. The only complaint I have is that they didn't use the closing company I had selected. Not a huge deal, as the costs were about the same, but I had wanted to support a local small business for that.

I have been exceptionally pleased with this company. As a first time homeowner I was nervous and did not know what to expected but the team at AMCAP was awesome in keeping me updated during the entire process and calming all fear, apprehension and anxieties.

The loan officer/contact I worked with, Edgar Gutierrez, is very good to work with. He is a correct and decent gentleman, who made sure I was aware of the status of the loan at all times, sometimes even calling back after work hours to give me information. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a couple of knicks my loan process ran thru during the paper handling phase of the loan..... All I can say is that anyone who is seeking a loan must not automatically assume the process will happen on its own, just because you engage in business with any mortgage broker. You are the interested party, therefore you must stay on top of things. As far as required paperwork, insurance, or anything the broker asks of you, make sure you provide it in a quick manner, in order for your process to move along swiftly. And make sure the contact is aware every time you've sent any documentation. Otherwise you'll just be sitting on wasted time. In the end, they're a bit more oriented towards first time home buyers than investors, but very good to work with, very decent people and good communication.

Our family has worked with Lindsay and her team on a couple of occasions and have always had a great experience. They are very knowledgeable and work closely with us from start to finish. We always refer our friends to New American Funding for new home loans or refinance.

All the folks at cross country made me feel comfortable about my cash out refi. The title company, the insurance company, and the mortgage team were all very helpful. If i had a complaint it would be the lack of any info right at the end (though in their defense it was the 4th of july weekend). My estranged wife was very annoyed at my inability to give her any info about her settlement, but it worked out, so.. 4 stars. But really they were all awesome. Thank you.

Overall very good. The person I worked with was kind and extremely helpful and patient. The only negatives were the ridiculous number of documents required and the very short notice to get them in and the process with the underwriter was very frustrating. The only thing saving my review was how great Mike was.
