I feel like Chris did a good job communicating what he knew to me, but it seemed there was a disconnect between Chris and Sara or other people I didn't interface with on where in the process my loan was. I was told that underwriting process is done (or at least that was my interpretation), and then the next day they are still underwriting and needing more information from previous employers. I was also told NAF was talking with the title office and I should be ready to close, then when I said that to the title person I was told they had yet to reach out. I'm assuming I was not lied to, but that there is a internal disconnect in the processing. I'd suggest that you consider teaching everyone what other areas do to a more in depth level so they can give more accurate timelines and information to customers. The better you know the whole process the better you will have information flow both to functionally process loans faster and to improve customer experience. I understand issues come up and processes aren't perfect, but from my perspective this happened more than once and given my situation it was frustrating. I also understand I was in a slightly different situation where I needed to close ASAP due to switching jobs and needed to close so I could put in my notice, so that is probably why I noticed this seeming disconnect. Overall the closing process was fast based on averages, but I had virtually no wiggle room with this loan process so I could get this house and keep my new job.
