Matthew was good to work with but it was a frustrating experience working with others involved. We at one point received the email stating we were all set and in funding then the next week we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to close at all and needed more documentation. We stayed with New American, even after getting a couple lower rates, due to the customer service we received from Matthew in the beginning but regretted our decision at the end of the process due to the poor customer service we received.

No major issues. Overall my experience was good. I did go out of my way to communicate a discrepancy in a figure in the calculation which was not accurate that I requested be corrected. Though small and not likely to have made a difference, the fact of the matter is that it was actually inaccurate and it was ultimately not addressed. Aside from that hiccup, my overall experience with Mr. Opachich was great. He exercised great patience with me as this was my first time doing a refinance, he took the time to explain matters I did not understand and he kept all appointments and met all deadlines as scheduled.
