It had absolutely nothing to do with Philip. He was the best. Communicated effectively and always answered every question I had including when he was sick with COVID. Every other member of the team that touched my case was terrible. Rodney Ream, never communicated once with me after claiming to be there to help. Jessica Stephens was the same went well over a week not hearing from her until closing day after her and the underwriter were suddenly "confused" by things in my profile that had been asked for 2 weeks before my initial closing. She then blamed my employer when I know the exact day it was faxed back and was still more than enough time to voice concerns. Then after my first denial she was MIA. Then I was shuffled to Camille Spicer. Who was somewhat helpful after my first denial. Telling me all the information I needed to give in order to move forward with the loan. Talked to her for a few days before getting denied again, then after sending in more information was completely ignored again not receiving any emails the second Philip came back from vacation. Philip then had to pick up the pieces of a hurricane to finally get us to final closing. I inevitably had to get a 2nd extension. All of this headache was caused because of time zone differences, lack of communication and honestly laziness. Philip was on vacation for the majority of the closing process but he came back just before my closing. He was a major help and got it done! Without him I would have lost my house. This was my first home buying experience and it was the most negative experience I've ever had. When I should have been able to close my original dates had everyone communicated effectively and hadn't waited until 2 business days before close to voice sudden confusion. I understand you are a national lender and as such many things are out of control but the biggest issue is too many hands in the pot as well as needing to look closer at customer profiles, in order to make sure the people working on their file are at least close to the same time zone. I should not have had an underwriter in California nor a Processor in AZ. Over 3 hours behind when my business day starts and ends. While I have a loan with NAF I will not be recommending them to anyone.
