Apparently New American Funding was acting as a middle man between the borrower and the lender. As such there was a lot of back and forth, a lot of information requests and dropped information. It also took considerably longer than expected.

Courtney was great. He answered many questions and gave me great support right away….. however, his team I felt was less organized and unable to keep up with demand. They changed loan officers one week prior to closing and that person also seemed incapable. But Courtney,alone, was great.

Mr. Alberson was extremely helpful and patient as we went through the refinancing process, He tried to explain things to me but apparently I did not understand completely and was very disappointed that a bill I had thought was to be included in the payoff was not included. I would recommend him to another prospective client with the rejoinder that that person be careful to consider everything carefully before signing off on the process.

I would have liked New American Funding to cover my $500+ rate lock extension cost (it was only a couple of days and out of my control), I am a returning customer but may not be for future transactions.
