Doug advised that underwriting would take approximately 5 days - it took almost three weeks, and included a lot of last-minute questions and requirements for documentation. The loan agreement was finalized only a few days in advance of our mortgage closing despite being initiated almost two months in advance.

Was an absolute horrible experience! This was the 8th home I have purchased and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had! Felt like even hours before closing we could lose the house! At one point “gift” money was needed then oops all the sudden not needed!!! This caused family stress and drama! Completely unacceptable! Closing day had been set for 40-45 days then day of the documents were not sent to settlement agency. We had a tight timeline on our end to get moved due to my husband having back surgery! So much stress was added throughout the entire process that through proper information sharing could have been avoided. I will not be recommending your services to anyone… unless I really don’t like the person!

I was pleased with all the attentiveness by Michelle and her team. It was a bit chaotic but due to the circumstances of having a short notice closing date and the rates being so volatile.

At closing and even now that it has closed, the closing statement is incorrect. The buyer should have been given a credit for their option fee and earnest money. $450, after all it’s on the front page of the contract. None of the buyers parties moved to correct the problem including the loan officer or agent (neither were present for the closing). When I brought it to the closing attorneys attention, they explained it away. 3% in points and origination too much to charge for this loan.

The buyer had already chosen Movement Mortgage so there really was no decision on my behalf to choose them. The response time for questions was very good for the most part. At the end, all the loose strings were pulled together in very impressive fashion. Overall, I was very happy working with Nick's "team".
