Overall, we had a good experience with Stephen and we appreciated his responsiveness to emails and phone calls. He took time to educate us about the changing interest rates, options around buying down points, and other aspects that impacted our loan amount. One area that would have made our experience better was in relation to gift funds. I asked at one point if we could apply more of the gift funds committed from family to our down payment to lower our monthly mortgatge payments, and this request did not end up being taken into account for the final loan we received.
