It was a bit frustrating to be questioned about living situation & finances after we were preappreoved. We qualified with enough income and then our credit record was monitored up until the final day of closing, it just was a bit repetitive and frustrating to be asked the same questions over again.

Mostly a good to great experience. In the final days I would have like more heads up or communication on process for providing cash to close. Lenders and Title Co's do this everyday - home buyers once every few/many years.

Better communication about what to expect at each step of the process. There was a lot of unnecessary frustration due to many different factors. To be fair, most of the miscommunication came from the funder and not actually NAF, but it didn’t lessen the stress and wonder of if the loan would ever go through. 2 different times we received correspondence in the mail saying we were declined, even though we weren’t. The stress and frustration were unlike any process we’ve ever been involved in, even worse than our other mortgages.

Everything went well until the end when trying to contact them and we never heard back from them or they would say they call us back and never would. Plus things weren’t paid on time when they were supposed to be which put us behind, so definitely not satisfied with how things went at the end.

Rate and term information initially presented was quick and subsequent update was good. I appreciated Rayan taking the extra step to ask for a decrease in discount points when the rate increased.

I think the communication could have been better. Rayan did good at the beginning but then we were left wondering about our loan and the money.
