Processor returning e-mails and phone calls. It shouldn't take 4 months to get a loan that is backed by a property worth 5or 6 times what the loan is for. Alex Spollen got us answers,and did a decent job. The processor and underwriting not so much. I would really have to be out of options to choose New American funding for my future loan needs. Summary, It was a clown show.

It was ok. Anna was great. Maria was just a little pushy/rude when she communicated with our insurance agent and accountant who were going out of their way to supply info she needed in 24 hours notice.

Overall, the process went smoothly and communication was always pleasant. However, I would have appreciated a better explanation upfront about how the HELOAN process works and the additional charges that it would entail. I did not realize it was basically like a second mortgage with all the additional fees. Also, the 3 hour time difference was a little frustrating when trying to communicate, so pairing us with a loan officer on the east coast would have been preferred if possible.

Overall experience was good, however it was a bit confusing dealing with Jon then switching to Peyton. We also presented a lot of the same information several times. We put down 20% and paid off debt, which sould have made the loan process a bit easier. Also it would be nice to get the first bill in a timely manner to set up payment process with bank, which is coming up and have not received yet. Doing this all online for the first time was a learning experience for me also. I thank both Jon and Payton for getting the loan completed after all the back and forth.

From the first contact with Chris who was very nice and helpful. He listened to my needs and asks questions to find out what my expectations were. He then put us in contact with Wilson at Matic who was awesome and which helped us save over $1k on homeowners insurance. Then Kyle kept in constant communication. The whole process was good. The best closing experience we've ever experienced. Thank you.
