Our closing date was supposed to be Friday, 7/1/22. My fiancé and I submitted all of the required documents that were requested on time. Somehow, New American did not submit required documentation in time to close on 7/1/22. This pushed our closing date after the holiday weekend to Tuesday, 7/5/22. As a result, our seller’s rent back from us was also pushed an extra 4 days. Now, my fiancé and I are having to rush moving in to our first home because we weren’t able to close on the expected date. Also on the expected closing day underwriting asked me for proof of employment. This was frustrating because they had 30 days to ask me for this but chose to ask for it on the last day. Overall, not too happy with our experience.
