Didn't know after serving your country, getting a VA loan wound be so difficult. The process needs to be more stream line for Active duty, Guard/Reserves when it comes to what documents are needed. I shouldn't wait until I'm at the Underwriter stage to discover that I need another document from my military unit. I'm happy that my unit personal were available and willing to help on such short notice.. I could have gotten those docs a week prior to closing..

Buying a house is one of "the" most stressful things we have gone through in a long time. The process alone! Kayla was a gem....walked us through things that were sent to us via docusign. It came down to the wire LITERALLY and we truly did not think we were going to close on the scheduled date. Our underwriter was difficult to work with so we heard which in turn made for more stressful moments. BUT...they came through and we now have our retirement home.
