Not Bob's fault it took 6 months to sell house (with escalating rent on our new house) . He was very understanding and helpful. However a few suggestions: It was 5-6 months since our initial discussion of the process of how to do this deal. So during our recent discussions when Bob said "Remember when we first talked . . . " I could not remember all that clearly. As it is a bit complicated I'd suggest putting it on paper (or digitally) in easy to understand language--especially on the initial visit. When we started this process we were hoping to sell our old house and use those funds to buy the new house. I thought we might even make a profit; we were hoping to avoid a mortgage. In the end we had to do a mortgage and I appreciated Bob's help in that process though I did feel pressured that that was what I was supposed to do. Selling/buying a house is a very stressful event in a person's life. There is a lot of discussion in financing with terms that many people are not familiar. I would suspect many leave meetings not fully understanding their options. Bob is very efficient--a fast talker if you will--though having things on paper or digitally would help many of us see things better. Overall though Bob was very good and I appreciated all his efforts to get this deal done.

The process was structured and the assistance was excellent. The length of time and the appraisal cost could have been mentioned up front so that first timers aren't surprised.
