Unfortunately, the mortgage process is typically very unpleasant, and in my opinion, involves paying unnecessary fees. I believe my mortgage process was no exception. However, the assistance provided to me by those helping me through the process made it bearable. Not great, for sure, but not terrible either, so just OK. To be great, significant effort would have to be made to reduce or eliminate fees, and expedite the process so I would not have had to wait so long for my loan to be written.
