From the beginning there was a lot of misunderstanding about what would be paid or waived including closing costs, appraisal, PMI, and a 3.5% interest rate, etc. The radio program was hyped with all kinds of promises that if you contacted New American Funding within the hour, that all of these fees would be waived. That was not the case. Ended up with closing costs and PMI even though I've never missed a payment with Chase for 20 years. Credit score blamed. Would not do it again.

Oscar is very nice and professional and when I had a question his explanation was clear so I could understand. He also was spot on when we were looking at locking in the rate. The only reason I did not give 5 stars overall is due to how long it took to get final approval. It was all about expectations, I was basing my experience per previous times, not realizing how the process had changed due to the 2008 mtg crash. I would have wished someone had told me that up front, but it worked out!
