I'm still waiting to complete my closing on 1/16/2026. My mortgage is through Ally and payments for my mortgage are being handled through Cenlar, my loan servicing company. Cenlar didn't receive the correct wired payoff to close my Heloc mortgage. So, they refused the closing payment. I was on the phone for over 4 hours before I found out who I needed to get in touch with. The next day on Saturday I finally decided to call my Sr Processor Huyen Nguyen that is doing my underwriting for the closing. After going through all the different channels, I finally decided to call her, and she told me that she had been contacted by Cenlar and that I would have to wire the difference for the closing to complete this transaction. I don't think this should have been me having to track this problem down. Especially when Huyen Nguyen had been in contact in the first place and didn't get in contact with me after she was contacted. When I got in contact with her, she almost made me feel like it was my fault for the shortage. I was told by the people that wired the payment "EMPOWER TITLE INTERMEDIATE FED" that I needed to call my Sr Loan Officer Jason Lambert. I don't feel that this is Jason's fault at all. It's just nobody had a clue what to do until I finally called Huyen. The other problem was I had a large sum of money that was in the bank, but they couldn't use any of that to pay the difference. Plus, I couldn't transfer any of that money because it was on hold due to the title payoff. It was not a fun experience. I don't feel that I should have to do all the leg work. The other problem was, it was on the day before a 4-day weekend and everyone was wanting to end the day. Will have to wait until this coming Tuesday 1/20/2026 to get it all straightened out. It all was just bad timing. Like I said before, I don't think this is Jason's fault.

Kendra was good at getting things done but the Cardinal experience was poor. Bad communication, the ball was dropped. Took months and had to restart the process after I complained. I would not refer others to Cardinal.
