Doug was very responsive to communication and made himself available for questions and such fairy easily. There were a couple of hiccups - it seemed like he had a list of required documents in his email signature at one point, which I didn’t realize right away and misunderstood to mean that he hadn’t received those documents. I ended up going through the trouble of sending them again unnecessarily before figuring out what the situation was. The other issue is that after our appraisal came in high, I was told we couldn’t drop PMI (that I had decided to pay up front). This wouldn’t be a problem, except for the fact that I was also told that if the appraisal had come in low and I otherwise had not needed it, it would have needed to be added. So, change the PMI schedule based on the appraisal when it’s convenient for the bank, but not when it’s convenient for me. This is a greedy and slimy and deceitful way to do business, but isn’t Doug’s fault. He explained how it worked, which I’m grateful for.
