Things went really well at the beginning. With not the best credit situation, Kellie was wonderful and willing to take us on as customers. She handled our desire to purchase with confidence which put us at ease. As time went on communication started to get worse. Underwriting started to pile on requests of documentation and explanation but the communication of details was poor leading to delays. The Friday afternoon before the expected closing, we were still waiting on the clear to close.

Edwin is just the best. The reason I may not recommend New American is the time difference between the east and west coast was an issue at times. New American should think about am east coast based branch to service this timezone.

Joe was very knowledgeable and prompt as was Zuleima Diaz. He was able to obtain us a realistic appraisal which made a big difference in our monthly PMI and dramatically reduced our LTV. This re-fi resulted in a 11% reduction in our monthly payment which was a great help to us as we are retired and living on a fixed income.
