My experience with New American Funding would have been better is Nancy Rehse would have shown me the same courtesy she would show to someone borrowing $500K. I would have appreciated honesty from her, for her to be above board with me. Several times, she banged her keyboard and said she'd just sent an email on my behalf. Lauren Rooney did not have the experience and expertise to communicate effectively with me. Nor was she able to comprehend the documents she was reviewing on my behalf. She repeatedly asked me to send her documents I had already provided and I was reduced to busy reattaching the same documents to emails for her convenience. She referred to an Affidavit of Heirship as an Affidavit of Airship on more than one occaision.

Better communication.

The original loan was declined due to HOA litigation, which occurred because the seller kept pushing to meet the deadline. If the seller had not pressured the process and the previous loan officer had identified the HOA litigation earlier, I wouldn’t have needed to go through a private lender. Anyway, I was informed that the appraisal I paid for would be covered, as is common with most lenders. This led me to spend considerable time assisting the agents in transferring the appraisal. A week before closing, Rebecca informed me that we urgently needed certain documents and repeatedly pushed me to sign them, even though my agent was out of town. I had asked her multiple times, including via email, to confirm that the appraisal fee would be adjusted. She assured me they were working on it and promised to send me the final version by the following Monday. On that Monday, I followed up, but she continued to say they were still working on it. When I checked again two days later, I was told everything was finalized and no adjustments were necessary. This was not true at all and I definitely will not return to New American Funding and let others know about this in the future.

We started the loan process in Sept. 2024, we didn't close until Jan.2025. We were asking for a VA cashout refinance. Later on into the process we were told we couldnt do a cash refinace for our type ofnloan. Bailey should have known thos before we started it. We encountered many problems through the process. When we first started it our pest inspection was in date, however due to the lengthy process it expired and to pay for another inspection. Our house appraisal was in date as well and it expired due to the lengthy process. Bailey called my husband a lier because he thought he lied about the cost of the appraisal, he did not. On several occasions we were asked to send more paperwork and he had to have them that day. We have no access to print some of them off and we told him he did not have access. This is just a small amount of trouble we have had during the loan process. They lied and blamed the notary for a closing date reschedule(he did not). We found that there many errors made during the loan process.i would not recommend to anyone.

If they would have given me proper information at the beginning of the process rather than throughout the process. Things that was needed could have been easily sent in a iy matter rather than late. Communication with the buyer could be a lot better. Follow up when you say you are. Don't get nasty attitudes with the buyer for following . This process was the worse I have ever experienced in my life.

Team Harvell was more concerned with their next endeavor than taking care of our needs. We never spoke to anyone until our real estate agent called them. That was two weeks before closing. We were never given any explanation as to why the loan had to be done in my name only until Team Harvell was let go. Jessica Kongoda did a great job after taking over from Team Harvell.
