I was shopping between 5 lender/banks (Rocket, Wells, B of A, Sofi, US Bank). I came to notice that the services and more importantly the rates offered were just about the same w/ no real difference. The reason I went w/ Olivia and New American Funding were because of the following A - I appreciated the complete transparency between bank and borrower. Other banks withheld information, even my own personal information to keep me in the "blind" as to my credit, report, liabilities, etc. I appreciated Olivia being completely open and up front in respect to this. B - I appreciated the communication and follow through. I had other banks that did not get back to me until 3-5 days later. Olivia would usually return call/email w/ in a day, if not that same day. One bank did not follow up on my application until the day I was closing w/ New American. I could not believe they had just started reviewing my file, 2 months later. C - Lastly, I appreciated the tone and demeanor. I felt comfortable w/ Olivia. I even gave her a hard time at certain stages of Disclosures, and she was calm, collected and professional. Other banks, I felt rushed, pushed. Like a car salesman. I do not appreciate that, and no customer would.
