Everything was made to be as smooth as possible.

As a positive note, I want to highlight Jeff Geiger's commendable performance during this loan process. Despite the challenges we faced, Jeff's consistent communication and efforts to alleviate tension were invaluable. His frequent updates and willingness to clarify unclear aspects significantly contributed to our understanding and reassurance throughout the process. Unfortunately, regardless of this above positive, we had a disappointing experience with NAF and with the loan processor assigned to our case. Throughout the entire process, communication regarding the approval of our loan felt incredibly last-minute and disorganized. Despite the delay caused by time zone differences, it seemed as though our case was nothing more than a nuisance to the processor. Moreover, when we diligently provided the requested documents in a timely manner, the processor insisted on taking full three days to respond, although the documents were submitted within an hour or, at most, three hours. This level of inefficiency and disregard for our time was completely unacceptable and needlessly added to our stress. To make matters worse, on the day of closing, we received crucial instructions merely one hour and half before the scheduled closing time. Even more shocking, the actual amount needed for closing was never communicated to us, resulting in a surprise for the closing attorney. This lack of transparency and preparation is simply unacceptable. As if that weren't enough, there was a significant delay from NAF in processing the closing and sending the funds to the closing attorney's office. This delay was described by the attorneys as generally rare and strange, further highlighting the possible incompetence and negligence of people at NAF. Overall, our experience with NAF (except Jeff Geiger) was nothing short of a nightmare. The lack of communication, inefficiency, and disregard for our time and concerns made the entire process unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this loan processor and seek out more reliable and competent home loan providers. Lastly, I must acknowledge my limited understanding of mortgage loan processes, and it's important to consider that the loan processor may only serve as a conduit between the underwriter and the client, with limited control over the timing and nature of document requests. However, even in such a scenario, I strongly believe that there should have been better management of this process.

It has been a pleasure working with Kelley, Brandy and Angel. They answered all my dumb questions patiently and always kept me in the loop. It was a race at the end but we made it through!

Kristen was responsive, knowledgeable and helpful throughout my first home loan process. She kept me informed every step of the way and was always there to answer any questions I had.
