I still don’t understand why I was charged points on my loan/ cash out. The fact that all properties with my name were owned free and clear and more than covered the amount of equity requested for cash out. My sister’s property in which my name was on to protect her childrens interest at the time. Being scrutinized as if it was my property and wanting to involve my sister into my loan process, put a bad taste in my mouth.

The underwriting process was stressful and I wish that part happened before pre-approval. Also it was confusing that we had two incomes and they took the lowest credit score to see the outcome of our interest rate.
