It wasn't anything Mirza did, but once I was sent to Angel, I felt very uneasy. I was never able to speak to her and email communications took a long time for responses. I also felt that the process took an extremely long time from start to finish (2 months for a refinance). The amount of paperwork at closing was ridiculous (much of it was repetitive, a lot was unclear as to where to sign). Setting up the closing appointment was insane.

Would have liked more communication. When asked what to extend the closing date to, I got a I have no idea answer. Which is really frustrating. An answer like I think I can get it done by this “date” would have been better. But leaving it up in the air when we were suppose to close in 5 days is frustrating. All the communication wasn’t until the end and we started to get the updates on the loan. Example: your loan is at stage 4 for final underwriting. Like where was 1-3?

The issue I had was communication between Zach and the Underwriter. The underwriter made the process completely complicated.

Just to be clear, Tom was, for all intents and purposes, not my loan officer. I had very limited communications with Tom and that communications was always a boilerplate text or e-mail. Mark Cooper was and is my loan officer and Mark really was terrific. I have no complaints about Tom, but had very limited communications with Tom so I can't honestly give Tom a high rating. On th other hand, the entire team, including Tom Mark, Leslie and everyone else at New American exceeded expectations.
