Communication could have been better but other than that it was a good experience

Extra Fee and cost changes after we agreed. Last minute updates almost didn't close on time even though we had 45 days Marq did a good job this is more a reflection on the overall company than anything he did

The loan officer and processor were very nice but there was no urgency to get the loan closed. I asked if we could get this closed sooner and I got no response. We were at the 45 day mark and my husband was going to be out of town the next week so I asked to get it closed. We didn’t have to give any bank statements or any other information to get approved. I work as a processor and the closing time for a Refi should be a lot faster and around 30 days. It was frustrating it took so long.

We felt like communication was really good in the beginning, but once other people got involved it went downhill. There were so many last minute requests. We felt like they weren't prepared to close on our house after just sitting around waiting for the appraisal to come through. To do better they need to be upfront with what documents are needed and not wait around for the appraisal to come through to start everything.

Lender required some totally unnecessary steps (e.g., two complete 6-page bank statements from the past, total of 12 pages, when 10 pages were disclaimer verbiage only, simply because a cashier's check had been drawn from that account - a cashier's check is obviously guaranteed by bank anyway, and besides, the statements did not reflect current balance - why would past statements be needed at all?). Portal for sending confidential documents didn't always work. I was not informed in advance of a staff member's time away.
