Carlos was overall great. There were two things I think he could do to significantly improve his customer service experience. First, he could be more responsive. The time between us reaching out and him getting back to us was too long. Second, and much more importantly, I wish that Carlos had regularly sent out updates, especially nearing close. It felt like our loan wouldn't have closed if we hadn't reached out repeatedly to ask what was going on and how to move it forward.

Asked for a 20 year mortgage but got a 30 year. Was rarely able to reach Abel. Availability was marginal. Did not see final settlement document until we closed; therefore we were anxious not knowing if we would have enough money. Not sure that the interest rate was best available.

It may have been unavoidable with the bank we were working with, but I wish I had known that it would take longer than originally anticipated to close. I often felt that I didn't hear it was taking longer until the day of or the day before a deadline.

Some parts of the process were a little disorganized and seemed somewhat last minute. I was pleased overall with the experience, but greater organization and communication would have been preferred.

We would have liked having a timeline from the beginning of what to expect along the way so we wouldn’t have to panic every time we heard from New American Funding because they needed something from us right away. We worked directly through email and the emails were even vague and it wasn’t until we asked for them to call us did they take a moment to explain things to us since we weren’t sending the correct items.
