I actually started working with Maria (BofI Federal Bank) about mid September 2016. After much frustration and disappointments from previous lenders (not to mention poor comps in my area) I walked into Costco and thought "I'll see what services they have." This led to my getting in touch with Maria Koury. Her optimism and energy kept me sane and hopeful that this refinance was actually going to happen. Then, alas, my condo complex was rezoned as being in a flood zone days before the final papers were going to be signed! So I had to put my loan on hold until this situation was settled. A surveyor came out, and it was determined that my complex is not in a flood plain, so I called Maria and the team as soon as I heard the news. Even though I had lost the interest rate lock, I still got an awesome interest rate and am now saving $260 per month on my mortgage. I signed in March 2017. Thank you Maria Koury and the entire BofI Federal Bank team! You helped make my financial situation so much better!
