I had the privilege of being introduced to Michael through mutual clients who felt he was the right fit for their home-buying needs. We rolled up our sleeves and had an adventure! Our clients had been saving for years, and after having lost their ADU, they were renting behind their family's home and all of their possessions. They pushed forward courageously and got all their ducks in a row with Michael's pre-approval. Michael is by far one of the most knowledgeable and personable lenders I have worked with in the last 5+ years. He breaks down what can come across as complex yet important information to me, the selling agent, with ease. I toured 60+ homes with our clients and submitted our first offer, which landed at the bottom of the pile. The climb up was beyond our clients' budget, so we moved forward. Although specific features were very important to our clients, and I was reticent to send them a property that didn’t have them, I found a 1920s Spanish home in Alhambra, steps to South Pasadena, in an up-and-coming Landmark Historical District that checked off so many boxes that I had to send it to my clients. They ended up loving it, touring it, and we submitted their offer, which was accepted. The collaboration with Michael was on another level. While I scoured themls through over 150+ properties looking for all of the homes that sold without a garage and driveway, he proceeded to carefully navigate his lending software platforms to catch the rare home that had been financed through an FHA product that didn’t have a driveway or garage. Michael ended up finding that needle in a haystack, which was an FHA product the buyer had utilized to purchase the home decades earlier, which now became the foundation for our clients being able to do the same. These 48 hours of non-stop attention to detail led to our clients being able to be funded and after careful negotiations from a reduced purchase price, from a low-appraisal which would have stopped most lenders in their tracks to credit for some future property systems repairs are clients are now in their new home with equity and a plan forward to add a driveway with the City and grow their family. Michael is one of the finest-caliber lenders available, with a very rare work ethic. He is disciplined through obstacles and solution-driven, providing clients with a smooth transaction experience. I highly recommend his services in all areas!
